by

January 2012
This
research was endeavored because of the downfall of music magazine industry in
Malaysia. Professional printed music magazines are facing the threat of
internet and mobile technology. Many music magazines have ceased publication
recently. Music magazines such as ROTTW from Malaysia have a target market for
people who go for printed music magazines. They are not changing their revenue
to an online media. One of the methods to prolong the existence and publishing
of printed music magazines is by repackaging and updating the design aspect. In
this research, fanzine graphics were researched to offer an alternative to the
current look of professional printed music magazines. This will enhance the
aesthetical value of music magazines and will keep people purchasing printed
music magazines to ensure its survival.
