Magazine
with fanzine looks such as cut and paste and hand-lettering text can attract
readers to keep on buying them because of the sense of intimacy. It can also be
very eye-catching compared to other magazines on the newsstands.
After
going through the data collection, the main findings of the questionnaire is
that the respondents in this research agreed to the idea of adapting fanzine
graphics into professional music magazines to add to its aesthetical value.
This is shown with the questionnaire whereas 93% of the participants chose more
than one option for the fanzine graphics that they like to be used in a
professional music magazine.
43%
of the participants think that music magazine readers would like cut and paste
look for an alternative music magazine design. The most preferred size for a
music magazine is about A4 size while the most preferred binding style is
perfect binding. The most preferred cover mount chosen by the participants is
poster.
This
means that fanzine graphics especially cut and paste style should be considered
to be incorporated in designing a printed music magazine as an alternative to
the current existing looks. This will add the aesthetical value and provide the
readers with something that they are compelled to buy.
